My vote is for Former Mayor Gus Morrison. He knows the ropes and needs no training or learning curve. The appointment is for ten months.
If the selection was based on qualifications, experience Gus would get the job, but this is Fremont politics! Lets see what happens!

I think the best choice is Dan Lydon. He’s a straight shooter and he works well with everyone.

Gus Morrison is the best candidate. Fremont politics is getting dirtier by minutes. Mr. Morrison did not get the Ohlone Board seat. The same things could happen here. It would be real shame on the council if they don’t appoint someone like Morrison who has proven experience and has dedicated many years of service to the city.

Also surprised to see Steve Cho did not apply. He would have made a good candidate as well.

Fremont needs a fresh start. An early start would be the best. All of the candidates mentioned have done their part for the City and I believe that the next person to fill the seat for the time being should be someone that doesn’t have any past affiliations.
The Council needs to broaden their scope.
As a candidate for the position, I do believe I would be a perfect fit for all parties involved, especially the people, not just the Council.
    AISHA
