Pete Stark takes a beating in the media

5 May

Pete Stark had been on the defensive for the past few weeks. Just when you think one accusation is resolved, along comes another accusation. Read more about it here, here, here, here, here, and here. The SF Chronicle even went so far as to endorse Swalwell. Swalwell’s campaign was further bolstered when the entire Union City council endorsed Swalwell over Stark.
Eric Swalwell’s message has been, “I am not Pete” but he hasn’t shown why he deserves to go to congress. Swalwell is short on specifics on substantiative issues and is mainly running on the platform that Pete needs to go. Undoubtedly, this will earn Swalwell some supporters and some donations, but this alone will not be a winning strategy in itself.
What do you think?

Swalwell needs to put his positions on social issues before I will vote for him. Stark is indeed sou ding crazy/senile, but he’s liberal on social issues and we need more people like that in Congress.

Do you think its real (ding bat/senility)? I am undecided. Sometimes i think he is whacked, other times i think its just the response by a guy that doesnt have the time or energy to give the open carriers or birthers or myriad other seriious whackos, the courtesy of a poltically correct response. God knows there are loads of em in todays political three ring circus
